From Ash We Do Not Rise; The Gospel of No One

When I found the title for my new collection, it was a random Tuesday Afternoon. It didn't come as an epiphany nor an answer to my prayers; It crept softly into the wires of my mind and it sat there until I was ready to speak it aloud. These writings came from an aching. They live and breathe much like I do.


When I wrote this collection, I didn't know what would come of it‐ these late night rambles to some God. I was initially inspired by Paul Celan's Psalm:

“No one kneads us again out of earth and clay,
no one incants our dust.
No one…”

I loved the idea of No One as a motif and I took that from him. I just needed something written on paper. I didn't need permission. Let my work be the answer or beginning of a prayer never answered.
