Beautiful, beckoning light—
I was an aching,
a flicker in the cosmos,
until you bathed me in a glow
that does not burn, only shines.

Now I know why the stars envy you—
your kindness, a warm radiance, ever dancing.
You came to me like an omen,
never waning.

Praise be to the Moon,
who shelters this flickering disgrace,
a solace woven in silver stardust,
wrapped in your cloak.

I Love Her More Than I Fear God

I am alive,
Because my ancestors fought the long fight,
Because my parents held enough love
To birth a thousand embraces,
A million hymns,
An infinite truth:
I am their love made flesh.

And despite centuries of abuse,
Persecution, and shadowed histories,
I am here—alive, because I love.

Sun fractals scatter across my skin,
The wind combs through my hair.
Blades of grass remind my fingers
That I belong to the earth.
Yet my spirit reaches for the cosmos,
A bridge of light between dust and stars.
I breathe because I am formed by the Breath of God,
Unwavering.
